“Can you fix me?”
This is a question we get a lot from prospective clients.
A lot of people come to us feeling broken or like they’ve tried everything and don’t know where to turn.
Maybe they’ve been dealing with pain for months or even years.
Understandably, they just want to feel better! They want to be “fixed.”
They’ve turned the feeling of being broken to an identity of being broken.
However, the impact on words cannot be overlooked, and here is why:
Words become stories. Stories influence belief. Belief drives behavior. Behavior cultivates identity.
You literally become who you tell yourself you are.
“I can’t walk without knee pain.”
“I am working on being able to walk without knee pain.”
How do those two sentences make you feel?
Do you feel differently reading one vs. the other?
One sentence has that much power. Think about how powerful it can be if you consciously audit language throughout your day.
